قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا فَيُضَاعِفَهُ لَهُ أَضْعَافًا كَثِيرَةً}
His saying, Exalted is He: {Who is it that would loan Allah a goodly loan so He may multiply it for him many times over?}

Hadith 417
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الْأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: لَمَّا نَزَلَتْ: { مَنْ ذَا الَّذِي يُقْرِضُ اللهَ قَرْضًا حَسَنًا } قَالَ أَبُو الدَّحْدَاحِ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّ اللهَ يُرِيدُ مِنَّا الْقَرْضَ ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ يَا أَبَا الدَّحْدَاحِ، قَالَ: أَرِنِي يَدَكَ، فَنَاوَلَهُ يَدَهُ، قَالَ: فَإِنِّي قَدْ أَقْرَضْتُ رَبِّي حَائِطِي - وَفِي حَائِطِهِ سِتُّمِائَةِ نَخْلَةٍ - ثُمَّ جَاءَ إِلَى الْحَائِطِ، فَقَالَ: يَا أُمَّ الدَّحْدَاحِ - وَهِيَ فِي الْحَائِطِ - فَقَالَتْ: لَبَّيْكَ . فَقَالَ: اخْرُجِي فَقَدْ أَقْرَضْتُهُ رَبِّي عَزَّ وَجَلَّ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When this verse was revealed: "Who is it that will lend to Allah a goodly loan" (__QUR_N__), Sayyiduna Abu Dahdah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Does Allah ask us for a loan? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, O Abu Dahdah! So he said: Show me your hand. Then he took the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have given my garden as a loan to my Lord—and there were six hundred date palm trees in that garden—then he went towards his garden and called out: O Umm Dahdah! (and she was present in the garden), so she replied: Yes, I am here. He said: Come out, I have given it as a loan to my Lord, the Mighty and Majestic.
