Hadith 276
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحَكَمَ عَنْ قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَابْتَغُوا مَا كَتَبَ اللهُ لَكُمْ } قَالَ: يَعْنِي الْوَلَدَ .
Shu’bah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: I asked Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) about the statement of Allah, the Exalted: “And seek what Allah has ordained for you,” so he said: It means children.
