قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلا عَادٍ فَلا إِثْمَ عَلَيْهِ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {But whoever is forced by necessity, neither desiring [it] nor transgressing [its limit], there is no sin upon him.}

Hadith 243
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: { فَمَنِ اضْطُرَّ غَيْرَ بَاغٍ وَلا عَادٍ } قَالَ: غَيْرَ بَاغٍ عَلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَلَا مُعْتَدٍ عَلَيْهِمْ، مَنْ خَرَجَ يَقْطَعُ الرَّحِمَ أَوْ يَقْطَعُ السَّبِيلَ أَوْ يُفْسِدُ فِي الْأَرْضِ فَاضْطُرَّ إِلَى الْمَيْتَةِ لَمْ تَحِلَّ لَهُ .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: “So whoever is forced by necessity, neither desiring it nor transgressing” — that is, one who does not commit aggression against the Muslims nor exceeds the limits, one who has set out with the intention of severing ties of kinship, highway robbery, or spreading corruption in the land, and then is compelled to eat carrion, then it is not lawful for him.
