قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللاعِنُونَ}

Hadith 236
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ: { وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللاعِنُونَ } قَالَ: الْبَهَائِمُ إِذَا أَسْنَتَتِ الْأَرْضُ قَالَتِ الْبَهَائِمَ: هَذَا مِنْ أَجْلِ عُصَاةِ بَنِي آدَمَ، لَعَنَ اللهُ عُصَاةَ بَنِي آدَمَ .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the explanation of the verse ﴿وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّاعِنُونَ﴾ that when the earth suffers from drought, the animals say: This is because of the disobedient among the children of Adam. May Allah curse the disobedient among the children of Adam.
Hadith 237
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: { وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللاعِنُونَ } قَالَ: دَوَابُّ الْأَرْضِ .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: What is meant by Allah the Exalted’s statement: “And those who curse will curse them” are the animals of the earth.
Hadith 238
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ (1)، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: { وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللاعِنُونَ } قَالَ: الْجِنُّ وَالْإِنْسُ وَكُلُّ دَابَّةٍ .
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The words ﴿وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ اللَّاعِنُونَ﴾ refer to jinn, humans, and every living creature.
