قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ}
His saying, Exalted is He: {And [mention] when Abraham was raising the foundations of the House and [with him] Ishmael, [saying], "Our Lord, accept [this] from us. Indeed, You are the Hearing, the Knowing."}

Hadith 219
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، وَتَلَا هَذِهِ الْآيَةَ: { وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا } قَالَ: سَأَلَا الْقَبُولَ، وَتَخَوَّفَا أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ لَا يُتَقَبَّلُ مِنْهُمَا .
Sa'id narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated the hadith to us, and he recited this verse: «وَإِذْ يَرْفَعُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْقَوَاعِدَ مِنَ الْبَيْتِ وَإِسْمَاعِيلُ رَبَّنَا تَقَبَّلْ مِنَّا» "And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House (they prayed): 'Our Lord! Accept (this) from us.'" Sufyan said: «سَأَلَا الْقَبُولَ، وَتَخَوَّفَا أَنْ يَكُونَ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ لَا يُتَقَبَّلُ مِنْهُمَا» They prayed for acceptance and remained fearful that there might be something in their action because of which it would not be accepted from them.
