Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: In three matters, I agreed with my Lord. I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! If only you would take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer, then this verse was revealed: __QUR_N__ "And take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer" __QUR_N__. And I said: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! Both good and bad people come to your wives, if only you would command them to observe the veil, then the verse of hijab was revealed. And when the wives of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gathered together, I said to them: __QUR_N__ "It may be that his Lord, if he divorces you, will give him in your place wives better than you, submitting (to Allah)" __QUR_N__, then this verse was revealed.
