قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَلَمَّا أَنْبَأَهُمْ بِأَسْمَائِهِمْ قَالَ أَلَمْ أَقُلْ لَكُمْ إِنِّي أَعْلَمُ غَيْبَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ}
His saying, the Exalted: "And when He had informed them of their names, He said, 'Did I not tell you that I know the unseen of the heavens and the earth and I know what you reveal and what you have concealed?'"

Hadith 185
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ الْحَسَنِ، فَسَأَلَهُ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، فَقَالَ: يَا أَبَا سَعِيدٍ أَرَأَيْتَ قَوْلَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لِلْمَلَائِكَةِ: { وَأَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ }، مَا الَّذِي كَتَمَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ ؟ قَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى لَمَّا خَلَقَ آدَمَ، رَأَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ خَلْقًا عَجَبًا، فَكَأَنَّهُمْ دَخَلَهُمْ مِنْ ذَلِكَ شَيْءٌ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ فَأَسَرُّوا ذَلِكَ بَيْنَهُمْ، فَقَالُوا: وَمَا يُهِمُّكُمْ مِنْ أَمْرِ هَذَا الْمَخْلُوقِ ؟ إِنَّ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ لَا يَخْلُقُ خَلْقًا إِلَّا كُنَّا أَكْرَمَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْهُ .
Mahdi bin Maimun (may Allah have mercy on him) says: We were with Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him), when Hasan bin Dinar asked him: O Abu Sa'id! Allah, the Exalted, said to the angels: “And I know what you reveal and what you were concealing” (__QUR_N__), so what was it that the angels concealed? Hasan Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) replied: When Allah, the Exalted, created Adam (peace be upon him), the angels saw a wondrous creature, and something occurred in their hearts. Then they began to whisper among themselves and said: “Why are you concerned about this creature? Surely, whatever creature Allah, the Exalted, creates, we will always remain superior to it in His presence.”
