(40) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللهَ مَوْلاكُمْ نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ}Verse (40) His saying, Exalted is He: {But if they turn away, then know that Allah is your protector. Excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper}
Hadith 992

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، قَالَ: أَمَّنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فِي صَلَاةِ الْعِشَاءِ الْآخِرَةِ فَافْتَتَحَ الْأَنْفَالَ، فَقَرَأَ حَتَّى بَلَغَ: { نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَى وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ } - رَكَعَ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَقَرَأَ فِي الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ بِسُورَةٍ .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) led us in the last 'Isha prayer, so he began reciting from Surah Al-Anfal, and when he reached «نِعْمَ الْمَوْلَىٰ وَنِعْمَ النَّصِيرُ», he performed rukoo', then in the second rak'ah he stood up and recited another surah.
