الْآيَةُ (204) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ}Verse (204) His saying, Exalted is He: {So when the Qur'an is recited, then listen to it and pay attention that you may receive mercy}
Hadith 976

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا الْعَوَّامُ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَإِذَا قُرِئَ الْقُرْآنُ فَاسْتَمِعُوا لَهُ وَأَنْصِتُوا } - قَالَ: فِي الْخُطْبَةِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding Allah the Exalted’s statement: ﴿And when the Qur'an is recited, listen to it and be silent﴾: This command is about listening to the sermon on the day of Jumu'ah.
