الْآيَةُ (187) قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا} إِلَى قَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: {يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللهِ}Verse (187) His saying, Exalted is He: {They ask you about the Hour: when is its arrival?} to His saying: {They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah"}
Hadith 971

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا } - يَقُولُ: كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ بِهِمْ حَتَّى يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said in the explanation of this verse «كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا»: It is as if you are very concerned about them to the extent that they ask you about the Hour.
