قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ مَتَاعًا لَكُمْ وَلِلسَّيَّارَةِ}His (Allah's) saying: {Lawful to you is the game of the sea and its food as provision for you and for travelers...}
Hadith 834

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا خَالِدٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: { أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ }، قَالَ: صَيْدُهُ: الطَّرِيُّ، وَطَعَامُهُ: الْمَالِحُ لِلْمُسَافِرِ وَالْمُقِيمِ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said regarding Allah the Exalted’s statement: ﴿أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ صَيْدُ الْبَحْرِ وَطَعَامُهُ﴾: «صَيْدُهُ» refers to fresh game, and «طَعَامُهُ» refers to the fish which the sea throws out onto the land, which is lawful for both the traveler and the resident.
