قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَكَفَّارَتُهُ إِطْعَامُ عَشَرَةِ مَسَاكِينَ مِنْ أَوْسَطِ مَا تُطْعِمُونَ أَهْلِيكُمْ أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ أَوْ تَحْرِيرُ رَقَبَةٍ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَصِيَامُ ثَلاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ ذَلِكَ كَفَّارَةُ أَيْمَانِكُمْ إِذَا حَلَفْتُمْ وَاحْفَظُوا أَيْمَانَكُمْ} .His (Allah's) saying: {But its expiation is the feeding of ten needy people from the average of that which you feed your [own] families or clothing them or the freeing of a slave. But whoever cannot find [or afford it]—then a fast of three days [is required]. That is the expiation for oaths when you have sworn. But guard your oaths}
Hadith 803

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ بَشِيرٍ، قَالَ: نَا خُصَيْفٌ، عَنْ عَطَاءٍ، وَمُجَاهِدٍ، وَعِكْرِمَةَ، قَالُوا: لِكُلِّ مِسْكِينٍ ثَوْبٌ: قَمِيصٌ، أَوْ إِزَارٌ، أَوْ رِدَاءٌ، فَقُلْتُ لِخُصَيْفٍ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ كَانَ مُوسِرًا ؟ قَالَ: أَيَّ ذَلِكَ فَعَلَ فَحَسَنٌ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ مِنْ هَذِهِ الْخِصَالِ فَصِيَامُ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ، وَذَكَرَ أَنَّهَا فِي قِرَاءَةِ أُبَيٍّ: (مُتَتَابِعَةٌ)
Ata (may Allah have mercy on him), Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him), and Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the noble verse ﴿أَوْ كِسْوَتُهُمْ﴾: Each needy person should be given one garment, whether it is a shirt, a lower garment, or a cloak. I asked Khaseef (may Allah have mercy on him): What if the giver is wealthy? He said: Whichever of these he gives, it is better. And whoever does not find any of these things should fast for three days, and it was mentioned that in the recitation of Ubayy, the word «مُتَتَابِعَةٌ» is present.
