قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ أَكَّالُونَ لِلسُّحْتِ} .His (Allah's) saying: {Listeners to falsehood, devourers of what is unlawful}
Hadith 743

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَتِيقٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِيرِينَ يَكْرَهُ أُجُورَ الْقُسَّامِ، وَيَقُولُ: كَانُوا يَقُولُونَ: الرِّشْوَةُ عَلَى الْحُكْمِ سُحْتٌ، مَا أَرَى حُكْمًا يُؤْخَذُ عَلَيْهِ رِشْوَةٌ .
Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) disliked taking wages for distributing wealth and used to say: People used to say that taking a bribe for making a judgment is severe, that is, forbidden, and I do not see any such judgment for which taking a bribe would be permissible.
