قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ وَأَتْمَمْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ نِعْمَتِي وَرَضِيتُ لَكُمُ الإِسْلامَ دِينًا}His (Allah's) saying: {This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion}
Hadith 713

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: نَا دَاوُدُ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { الْيَوْمَ أَكْمَلْتُ لَكُمْ دِينَكُمْ } قَالَ: نَزَلَتْ وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاقِفٌ بِعَرَفَةَ، حِينَ اضْمَحَلَّ الشِّرْكُ، وَهُدِمَتْ مَنَارُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ، وَلَمْ يَطُفْ بِالْبَيْتِ عُرْيَانٌ .
Al-Sha'bi, may Allah have mercy on him, said: The verse ﴿This day I have perfected for you your religion﴾ was revealed when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, was standing at Arafah. At that time, polytheism had been eradicated, the signs of ignorance had been wiped out, and no one was circumambulating the Ka'bah naked.
