قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَمَنْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ الْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللهِ وَكَانَ اللهُ غَفُورًا رَحِيمًا} .His (Allah's) saying: {And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him—his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah. And Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful}
Hadith 685

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنْ أَبِي بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ خُزَاعَةَ كَانَ بِمَكَّةَ فَمَرِضَ - وَهُوَ ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ الْعِيصِ، أَوِ الْعِيصُ بْنُ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ زِنْبَاعٍ فَأَمَرَ أَهْلَهُ، فَفَرَشُوا لَهُ عَلَى سَرِيرٍ، وَحَمَلُوهُ، وَانْطَلَقُوا بِهِ مُتَوَجِّهًا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ بِالتَّنْعِيمِ مَاتَ، فَنَزَلَتْ: { وَمَنْ يَخْرُجْ مِنْ بَيْتِهِ مُهَاجِرًا إِلَى اللهِ وَرَسُولِهِ ثُمَّ يُدْرِكْهُ الْمَوْتُ فَقَدْ وَقَعَ أَجْرُهُ عَلَى اللهِ } .
Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that a man from the tribe of Khuza'ah became ill in Makkah, and he was either Dumrah bin Al-Ays or Al-Ays bin Dumrah bin Zanba'. So he instructed his family, and they spread a bed for him, laid him on it, and set out with him towards Madinah. When they reached the place of Taneem, he passed away. Then this verse was revealed: "And whoever leaves his home as an emigrant to Allah and His Messenger and then death overtakes him, his reward has already become incumbent upon Allah."
