قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا وَلا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ أَلْقَى إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلامَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِنًا تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا} .His (Allah's) saying: {O you who have believed, when you go forth in the cause of Allah, investigate; and do not say to one who gives you [a greeting of] peace "You are not a believer," aspiring for the goods of worldly life}
Hadith 680

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَوْفٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّهُمَا كَانَا يَقْرَآنِ: { لِمَنْ أَلْقَى إِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَمَ } .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) and Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) both used to recite this verse as: "liman alqa ilaykumu al-salam."
