Hadith 68

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ تَمَّامِ بْنِ نَجِيحٍ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ أَخَذَ ثُلُثَ الْقُرْآنِ وَعَمِلَ بِهِ فَقَدْ أَخَذَ أَمْرَ ثُلُثِ النُّبُوَّةِ، وَمَنْ أَخَذَ نِصْفَ الْقُرْآنِ فَقَدْ أَخَذَ أَمْرَ نِصْفِ النُّبُوَّةِ، وَمَنْ أَخَذَ الْقُرْآنَ كُلَّهُ فَعَمِلَ بِهِ فَقَدْ أَخَذَ النُّبُوَّةَ كُلَّهَا .
The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever acquires a third of the Qur'an and acts upon it has acquired a third of prophethood; and whoever acquires half of the Qur'an has acquired half of prophethood; and whoever acquires the entire Qur'an and acts upon it has acquired the entirety of prophethood.
