‘Aamir al-Sha’bi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: An Ansari man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: “You are more beloved to me than my own self, my children, my family, and my wealth. Whenever I am away from you, I fear I might die longing to see you.” And that Ansari began to weep. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: “What makes you weep?” He said: “I remembered that you will be at a high rank with the Prophets, and even if we enter Paradise, we will be far below you, and this separation makes me weep.” The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not reply until Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, revealed this verse: __QUR_N__ “And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger, then they will be with those upon whom Allah has bestowed favor from among the Prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, and the martyrs...” __QUR_N__ Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Rejoice!”
