قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللهُ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ هُوَ خَيْرًا لَهُمْ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَهُمْ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُوا بِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ}His (Allah's) saying: {And let not those who withhold what Allah has given them of His bounty think it is good for them; rather, it is bad for them. They will be encircled by what they withheld on the Day of Resurrection}
Hadith 550

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا خَلَفُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، قَالَ: هُوَ الرَّجُلُ يَرْزُقُهُ اللهُ الْمَالَ، فَيَمْنَعُ قَرَابَتَهُ الْحَقَّ الَّذِي جَعَلَ اللهُ لَهُمْ فِي مَالِهِ، فَيُجْعَلُ حَيَّةً، فَيُطَوَّقُهَا فَيَقُولُ لِلْحَيَّةِ: مَا لِي وَمَا لَكِ ؟ فَتَقُولُ: أَنَا مَالُكَ .
Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) said: This is the person to whom Allah gives wealth, but he does not give the rightful shares prescribed by Allah to his close relatives from that wealth. So that wealth is turned into a snake and made into a collar around his neck. Then he says to that snake: What do I have to do with you? The snake says: I am your wealth.
