قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ}His saying, Exalted is He: {And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.}
Hadith 521

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، سَمِعَ ابْنَ الزُّبَيْرِ يَقُولُ: { وَلْتَكُنْ مِنْكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ وَيَأْمُرُونَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ } وَيَسْتَعِينُونَ بِاللهِ عَلَى مَا أَصَابَهُمْ، فَلَا أَدْرِي أَكَانَتْ قِرَاءَتَهُ، أَوْ فَسَّرَ . ؟
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Zubair (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: “And let there be [arising] from you a nation inviting to [all that is] good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong” (__QUR_N__), and they seek assistance in what is coming upon them with the help of Allah. I do not know whether this was his recitation or his explanation.
