] قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى النَّاسِ حِجُّ الْبَيْتِ مَنِ اسْتَطَاعَ إِلَيْهِ سَبِيلا وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ}His saying, Exalted is He: {And [due] to Allah from the people is a pilgrimage to the House—for whoever is able to find thereto a way. But whoever disbelieves—then indeed, Allah is free from need of the worlds.}
Hadith 516

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { وَمَنْ كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ الْعَالَمِينَ } مَنْ إِنْ حَجَّ لَمْ يَرَهُ بِرًّا، وَمَنْ تَرَكَهُ، لَمْ يَرَهُ إِثْمًا .
Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding Allah the Exalted’s statement: “And whoever disbelieves, then indeed Allah is free of need from the worlds” (__QUR_N__): Whoever performs Hajj, let him not consider it a virtue, and whoever abandons it, let him not consider it a sin.
