قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا أُولَئِكَ لا خَلاقَ لَهُمْ فِي الآخِرَةِ وَلا يُكَلِّمُهُمُ اللهُ وَلا يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْهِمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلا يُزَكِّيهِمْ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ}His saying, Exalted is He: {Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their [own] oaths for a small price will have no share in the Hereafter, and Allah will not speak to them or look at them on the Day of Resurrection, nor will He purify them; and they will have a painful punishment.}
Hadith 503

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَاجِرَةٍ لِيَقْتَطِعَ بِهَا مَالَ امْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ، لَقِيَ اللهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ غَضْبَانُ . فَقَالَ الْأَشْعَثُ: فِيَّ وَاللهِ كَانَ ذَلِكَ ; بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْيَهُودِ أَرْضٌ، فَجَحَدَنِي، فَقَدَّمْتُهُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَلَكَ بَيِّنَةٌ ؟ قُلْتُ: لَا، فَقَالَ لِلْيَهُودِيِّ: احْلِفْ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِذًا يَحْلِفُ فَيَذْهَبُ بِمَالِي، قَالَ: فَأَنْزَلَ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: { إِنَّ الَّذِينَ يَشْتَرُونَ بِعَهْدِ اللهِ وَأَيْمَانِهِمْ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلا } إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Ash'ath رضي الله عنه said: The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said: Whoever swears a false oath in order to usurp the wealth of a Muslim, he will meet Allah the Exalted in a state that Allah will be angry with him. Ash'ath said: By Allah! This matter happened with me; there was a dispute over land between me and a Jew, and he denied my claim, so I took him to the Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم. The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه وسلم said to me: Do you have any witnesses? I said: No. So he صلى الله عليه وسلم said to the Jew: Swear an oath. I said: O Messenger of Allah! If he swears an oath, he will take my wealth. Upon this, Allah the Exalted revealed this verse: “Indeed, those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their oaths for a small price...” (__QUR_N__).
