‘Umara bin ‘Umair (may Allah have mercy on him) said: We were sitting with Yahya bin Wathab (may Allah have mercy on him) and we mentioned this verse: ﴿وَاللَّهُأَعْلَمُبِمَاوَضَعَتْ﴾. Meanwhile, Aswad bin Yazid (may Allah have mercy on him) came wearing an izar, a rida’, and a turban, and began to pray in his izar, rida’, and shoes. We said: Who will go and ask him? Yahya said: I will go. Then he went to him and asked him, then returned to us and said: ﴿وَاللَّهُأَعْلَمُبِمَاوَضَعَتْ﴾.
