قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَإِنْ كُنْتُمْ عَلَى سَفَرٍ وَلَمْ تَجِدُوا كَاتِبًا فَرِهَانٌ مَقْبُوضَةٌ}His saying, Exalted is He: {And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a security deposit should be taken.}
Hadith 469

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ الْخِرِّيتِ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ - فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ: (فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا كُتَّابًا) - وَقَالَ: أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَجَدُوا كَاتِبًا، وَلَمْ يَجِدُوا الصَّحِيفَةَ، وَالدَّوَاةَ . ؟
Ikrimah (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the verse: ﴿فَإِنْ لَمْ تَجِدُوا كُتَّابًا﴾: Tell me, if they find someone to write, but do not find paper and ink, then what will happen?
