قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَلا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَاءُ إِذَا مَا دُعُوا}His saying, Exalted is He: {And let not the witnesses refuse when they are called.}
Hadith 465

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا أَبُو حُرَّةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: أُدْعَى لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَأَنَا كَارِهٌ ؟ قَالَ: فَلَا تَشْهَدْ إِنْ شِئْتَ .
Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If you are called to give testimony and you dislike it, then if you wish, do not give testimony."
