حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا مَهْدِيُّ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ مَعْبَدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " يَخْرُجُ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ قَوْمٌ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ، يَمْرُقُونَ مِنَ الدِّينِ كَمَا يَمْرُقُ السَّهْمُ مِنَ الرَّمِيَّةِ، ثُمَّ لَا يَعُودُونَ فِيهِ حَتَّى يَعُودَ السَّهْمُ عَلَى فُوقِهِ، قِيلَ: مَا سِيمَاهُمْ؟ فَقَالَ: سِيمَاهُمُ التَّحْلِيقُ أَوِ التَّسْبِيدُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri, may Allah be pleased with him: The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "A people will emerge from the East who will recite the Qur'an but it will not go beyond their throats." They will go out of the religion just as an arrow passes out of the prey. Then they will never return until the arrow returns to its bow. It was asked: "What is their sign?" He said: "Shaving the head or keeping the hair short."
