حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا أَبُو شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: أَعْطَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عُيَيْنَةَ بْنَ بَدْرٍ مِائَةً مِنَ الْإِبِلِ مِنْ غَنَائِمِ حُنَيْنٍ، وَأَعْطَى الْأَقْرَعَ بْنَ حَابِسٍ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ نَاسٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ: تُعْطَى غَنَائِمُنَا أَقْوَامًا تَقْطُرُ دِمَاؤُهُمْ مِنْ سُيُوفِنَا، أَوْ دِمَاؤُنَا مِنْ سُيُوفِهِمْ، فَاجْتَمَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْأَنْصَارِ، فَقَالَ: «هَلْ فِيكُمْ إِلَّا مِنْكُمْ؟» فَقَالُوا: لَا , إِلَّا فُلَانُ ابْنُ أُخْتِنَا، فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ ابْنَ أُخْتِ الْقَوْمِ مِنْهُمْ» ثُمَّ قَالَ: «أَمَا تَرْضَوْنَ يَا مَعَاشِرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَنْ يَذْهَبَ النَّاسُ بِالدُّنْيَا، وَتَذْهَبُونَ أَنْتُمْ بِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى دِيَارِكُمْ؟» قَالُوا: بَلَى يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ: «لَوْ أَخَذَ النَّاسُ وَادِيًا، وَأَخَذَتِ الْأَنْصَارُ شِعْبًا لَأَخَذْتُ شِعْبَ الْأَنْصَارِ، الْأَنْصَارُ كَرِشِي وَعَيْبَتِي، وَلَوْلَا الْهِجْرَةُ لَكُنْتُ امْرَأً مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave one hundred camels each from the spoils of the Battle of Hunayn to Sayyiduna ‘Uyainah bin Badr and Sayyiduna Aqra‘ bin Habis (may Allah be pleased with them both). Some of the Ansar said: “Our spoils are being given to those whose blood was still dripping from our swords, or our blood from their swords.” So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called the Ansar. He said: “Is there anyone absent among you?” They said: “No, except for such-and-such nephew of ours.” He said: “Nephews are also from the tribe.” Then he said: “O group of Ansar! Are you not pleased that people take the world and you take Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to your homes?” All said: “Why not, O Messenger of Allah!” He said: “If people walk in a valley and the Ansar in a mountain pass, I will choose the mountain pass of the Ansar.” The Ansar are a part of my body and soul. And if there had been no migration, I would have been from among the Ansar.”
