Hadith 3944

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ بُشَيْرِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ «أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ كَانُوا أَلْفًا وَأَرْبَعَ مِائَةٍ»
Bashir bin Yasar (may Allah have mercy on him) said: The companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of Hudaybiyyah were one thousand four hundred.
Brief Explanation
Support for this narration: As mentioned earlier: Sahih Bukhari (2731): «كنا مع النبي ﷺ يوم الحديبية، ونحن أربع عشرة مائة» Sahih Muslim (1783): «وكان أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ يومئذ أربع عشرة مائة» ◄ Both of these authentic hadiths support this mursal narration. Due to corroborating evidence, it is acceptable and reliable.
