Hadith 3910

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَنْعُمٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فِي الْغُلُولِ يُصِيبُهُ الرَّجُلُ وَقَدْ تَفَرَّقَ الْجَيْشُ قَالَ: «يَرُدُّهُ إِلَى مَغْنَمِ الْمُسْلِمِينَ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "If someone takes something from the spoils of war and the army disperses, then he should return it to the Muslims' spoils of war."
Brief Explanation
Since its content is supported by other authentic (sahih) and good (hasan) narrations, therefore it is at the level of "hasan li ghayrihi" (good due to corroboration).
