Hadith 3908

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ، «أَنَّ رَجُلًا يُقَالُ لَهُ زِيَادٌ غَلَّ شَعَرًا مِنَ الْمَغْنَمِ، فَأُتِيَ بِهِ أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، فَجَمَعَ مَالَهُ فَأَحْرَقَ وَعُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ حَاضِرٌ ذَلِكَ، فَلَمْ يَعِبْهُ»
A man named Ziyad stole wool from the spoils of war, so Abu Sa'id bin Abdul Malik gathered all his possessions and burned them, and Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) was also present, but he did not object.
