حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، سَمِعَ رَجُلًا مِنْ قَوْمِهِ يُقَالُ لَهُ: بِشْرُ بْنُ عَلْقَمَةَ قَالَ: «بَارَزْتُ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَهْلِ فَارِسَ يَوْمَ الْقَادِسِيَّةِ فَبَلَغَ سَلَبُهُ اثْنَي عَشَرَ أَلْفًا فَنَفَّلَنِيهِ سَعْدٌ»
Bishr bin Alqamah (may Allah have mercy on him) says: On the day of Qadisiyyah, I confronted a man who was from among the Persians. His spoils amounted to twelve thousand dirhams, so Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) awarded that wealth to me as a gift.
