حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، أَنَّهُ أُتِيَ بِأَسِيرٍ مِنْ أَرْضِ فَارِسَ مَجُوسِيٍّ، فَبَيْنَا عُمَرُ يُحَاوِرُهُ، قَالَ: أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَرُبَّ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ قَدْ قَتَلْتُهُ، فَأَمَرَ بِهِ عُمَرُ فَضُرِبَتْ عُنُقُهُ، وَقَالَ: «لَا أَسْتَبْقِيهِ عَلَى مَا قَالَ»
A Magian prisoner was brought to Umar bin Abdul Aziz (may Allah have mercy on him) from Persia. During the conversation, when he said that he had killed Muslims, Umar bin Abdul Aziz ordered him to be killed.
