Hadith 3817

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ: «إِنَّمَا النُّهْبَى الَّتِي نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُؤْخَذَ بِغَيْرِ طِيبِ نَفْسِ صَاحِبِهَا، وَلَكِنْ سُنَّتُهَا لَيْسَتْ حَسَنَةً» قَالَ الْحَكَمُ: وَكَانَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ يَكْرَهُهُ
Shu'bi (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) declared taking something without permission as 'nahb' (plunder), and this is not a good practice." Hakam (may Allah have mercy on him) says: Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) considered it disliked.
