Hadith 3760

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ الزُّهْرِيَّ، وَلَمْ أُتْقِنْهُ، فَقَالَ مَعْمَرٌ: إِنَّهُ حَدَّثَ عَنِ ابْنِ صُعَيْرٍ أَوِ ابْنِ أَبِي صُعَيْرٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَشْرَفَ عَلَى قَتْلَى أُحُدٍ، فَقَالَ: «قَدْ شَهِدْتُ عَلَى هَؤُلَاءِ فَزَمِّلُوهُمْ بِدِمَائِهِمْ وَكُلُومِهِمْ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Sa'ir or Ibn Abi Sa'ir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) leaned over the martyrs of Uhud and said: "I am a witness over them, shroud them with their blood and wounds."
