Hadith 3752

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ الطَّائِيِّ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ طَارِقِ بْنِ شِهَابٍ، أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَيْدٍ الْقَارِئَ - وَكَانَ يُسَمَّى عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْقَارِئَ - قُتِلَ يَوْمَ الْقَادِسِيَّةِ وَكَانَ قَالَ لَهُمْ: «لَا تُغَسِّلُوا عَنِّي دَمًا، وَلَا تَنْزِعُوا عَنِّي ثَوْبًا إِلَّا جِلْدًا»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Tariq bin Shihab (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sa’d bin Ubaid, the reciter, who was called a reciter in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), was killed on the day of Qadisiyyah. And he had said: "Do not wash my blood and do not remove any of my clothes except the leather one."
