Hadith 3734

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ، قِيلَ: أَيُّ الشُّهَدَاءِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «مَنْ أُهَرِيقَ دَمُهُ وَعُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubaid bin Umair (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was asked: "Who is the most virtuous martyr?" He replied: "The one whose blood is shed and whose horse is wounded."
