Hadith 3725

It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Ateeq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Allah likes some forms of jealousy and dislikes others. And Allah likes some forms of pride and dislikes others. The jealousy that Allah likes is the jealousy arising from doubt and suspicion. And the jealousy that Allah dislikes is jealousy without any reason. And the pride that Allah likes is when a person shows pride at the time of battle or at the time of giving charity. And the pride that Allah dislikes is pride in play and amusement.”
