Hadith 3710

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: حُدِّثْتُ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: «إِذَا خَشِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ جُبْنًا فَلَا يَغْزُو»
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "If any of you fears cowardice within himself, then he should not go out for jihad."
Brief Explanation
This narration is weak in its chain of transmission (isnad), due to the weakness of Abu Bakr ibn Abi Maryam and the unreliable status of Fudayl ibn Fadalah.
