Hadith 3668

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، فِي قَوْلِهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ {وَإِذَا كَانُوا مَعَهُ عَلَى أَمْرٍ جَامِعٍ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنُوهُ} [النور: 62] قَالَ: «ذَلِكَ فِي الْغَزْوِ وَالْجُمُعَةِ، وَإِذْنُ الْإِمَامِ فِي الْجُمُعَةِ أَنْ يُشِيرَ بِيَدِهِ»
Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Regarding the statement of Allah Almighty «وَإِذَا كَانُوا مَعَهُ عَلَى أَمْرٍ جَامِعٍ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنُوهُ» [النور: 62], he said that this command is about jihad and Friday, and in Friday prayer, the indication of the Imam is sufficient.
