Hadith 3532

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَبِي مِجْلَزٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ «كَانَ يُغْزِي الْأَعْزَبَ عَنْ ذِي الْحَلِيلَةِ»
When Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) would send out an army, he would give preference to the unmarried over the married.
