قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ}His saying, Exalted is He: {There is no blame upon you for seeking bounty from your Lord.}
Hadith 352

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ: فَقُلْتُ: يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ، إِنَّا قَوْمٌ نُكْرَى فِي هَذَا الْوَجْهِ، وَإِنَّ قَوْمًا يَزْعُمُونَ أَنْ لَا حَجَّ لَنَا ؟ فَقَالَ لَهُ: سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَمَّا سَأَلْتَ عَنْهُ، فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ شَيْئًا، حَتَّى نَزَلَتْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةُ: { لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلا مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ } فَدَعَا النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الرَّجُلَ، فَقَالَ: أَنْتُمْ حُجَّاجٌ .
A man asked Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): O Abdullah! We go for trade on rent, and some people say that our Hajj does not count? So Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: A man asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) the same question that you have asked, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not give any answer, until this verse was revealed: __QUR_N__ "There is no sin upon you that you seek bounty from your Lord" __QUR_N__. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) called that man and said: "You are pilgrims."
