Hadith 3493

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ " إِنَّ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ فِي اللَّهِ ثَلَاثَةٌ، بَعْضُهُمْ أَفْضَلُ مِنْ بَعْضٍ: فَرَجُلٌ جَاهَدَ بِقَلْبِهِ فَأَحَبَّ فِي اللَّهِ وَأَبْغَضَ فِي اللَّهِ، وَرَجُلٌ جَاهَدَ بِقَلْبِهِ وَلِسَانِهِ فَأَحَبَّ لِلَّهِ وَأَبْغَضَ لِلَّهِ وَأَمَرَ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ، وَنَهَى عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ، وَقَاتَلَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ مَعَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، وَهَذَا أَفْضَلُهُمْ "
Hazrat Saeed bin Abi Hilal (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "There are three types of Mujahideen: the one who strives with his heart, the one who strives with his heart and tongue, and the one who strives with his heart, tongue, and sword, and this last one is the most virtuous."
