قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى وَاتَّقُونِ يَا أُولِي الأَلْبَابِ}His saying, Exalted is He: {And take provisions, but indeed, the best provision is fear of Allah. So fear Me, O you of understanding.}
Hadith 346

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا مُغِيرَةُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ: كَانَ نَاسٌ يَحُجُّونَ، وَلَا يَتَزَوَّدُونَ، وَيَقُولُونَ: نَتَوَكَّلُ عَلَى اللهِ، وَهُوَ رَازِقُنَا، فَنَزَلَتْ: { وَتَزَوَّدُوا فَإِنَّ خَيْرَ الزَّادِ التَّقْوَى } .
Ibrahim (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Some people used to go for Hajj without taking provisions, saying, "We put our trust in Allah and He will provide for us." Then this verse was revealed: "And take provisions, for indeed the best provision is Taqwa (piety)."
