أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْمُهَاجِرِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ غَنْمٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ «خَيَّرَ غُلَامًا بَيْنَ أَبِيهِ وَبَيْنَ أُمِّهِ»
Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Ghanm (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) gave a young child the choice to select with whom he wished to stay, his father or his mother.
