Hadith 3450

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا يُونُسُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، أَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ قَضَى بِهِ لِأُمِّهِ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ رِيحَهَا وَحِجْرَهَا خَيْرٌ لَهُ مِنْكَ
Hasan (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) decided in favor of the mother regarding the child and said: "Her fragrance and her lap are better for the child than you (i.e., the father)."
