قَوْلُهُ تَعَالَى: {فَمَنْ فَرَضَ فِيهِنَّ الْحَجَّ فَلا رَفَثَ وَلا فُسُوقَ وَلا جِدَالَ فِي الْحَجِّ}His saying, Exalted is He: {So whoever has made Hajj obligatory upon himself therein [by entering the state of ihram], there is [to be for him] no sexual relations and no disobedience and no disputing during Hajj.}
Hadith 345

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ قَالَ: نَا هُشَيْمٌ، قَالَ: نَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: نَزَلَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنْ رَاحِلَتِهِ، فَجَعَلَ يَسُوقُهَا، وَهُوَ يَرْتَجِزُ وَيَقُولُ: ¤ وَهُنَّ يَمْشِينَ بِنَا هَمِيسًا إِنْ تَصْدُقِ الطَّيْرُ نَنِكْ لَمِيسًا ¤ ذَكَرَ الْجِمَاعَ، وَلَمْ يُكَنِّ عَنْهُ، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَا عَبَّاسٍ تَقُولُ الرَّفَثَ وَأَنْتَ مُحْرِمٌ ؟ ! قَالَ: الرَّفَثُ: مَا رُوجِعَ بِهِ النِّسَاءُ .
Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) dismounted from his riding animal, began to drive it, and started reciting this verse: «وَهُنَّ يَمْشِينَ بِنَا هَمِيسًا، إِنْ تَصْدُقِ الطَّيْرُ نَنِكْ لَمِيسًا» (They are carrying us along with graceful movement; if the birds speak the truth, we will have intercourse with Lamis.) He mentioned intercourse in explicit words and did not use any euphemism. I said: O Abu Abbas! Are you uttering rafath while in the state of ihram? He replied: Rafath is that in which one speaks directly to women.
