Hadith 3447

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ خَاصَمَ امْرَأَتَهُ أُمَّ عَاصِمٍ بِنْتَ عَاصِمٍ فِي ابْنِهِ مِنْهَا إِلَى أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: «ادْفَعْهُ إِلَيْهَا» فَمَا رَاجَعَهُ الْكَلَامَ
Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had a dispute with his wife (the mother of Asim) regarding the child, so Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) gave the verdict: "Hand over the child to the mother." And Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did not argue about it.
