Sayyiduna Umar and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them both) disliked 'azl (withdrawal) and used to say: "If ejaculation occurs after intercourse, ghusl (ritual bath) becomes obligatory." Whereas some of the Ansar did not see any harm in 'azl and used to say: "If ejaculation does not occur, ghusl is not obligatory."
