Hadith 3351

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: " كَانَ لِمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ امْرَأَتَانِ، فَكَانَ إِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ إِحْدَيْهِمَا لَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ مِنْ بَيْتِ الْأُخْرَى، فَمَاتَا فِي يَوْمٍ، فَدَفَنَهُمَا فِي قَبْرٍ وَاحِدٍ، فَأَقْرَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا: أَيَّتُهُمَا تَدْخُلُ فِي الْقَبْرِ قَبْلُ "
Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) had two wives. He would deal justly with both, and to bury both in the same grave, he cast lots.
