Hadith 3246

أَخْبَرَنَا سَعِيدٌ، نا هُشَيْمٌ، أنا الشَّيْبَانِيُّ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ: «إِذَا انْتَفَى مِنْ وَلَدِهِ، وَهُوَ مِنْ أَمَةٍ، فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ مِنْ حُرَّةٍ تُلَاعَنُ أُمُّهُ»
Hazrat Shurayh (may Allah have mercy on him) said: "If a child is born from a slave woman, the master has the right to deny it, and if it is from a free woman, then li'an will be conducted with the mother."
